The website https://store.muskaan.org/ (“Store”) is owned and operated by Muskaan.
The terms and conditions (“T&C”) stated below identify what you, as viewers/visitors/customers of the Store can expect from us and what we in turn expect from you. Please read the T&C alongside our Privacy Policy. By using or accessing any part of this Store, you are deemed to have accepted the terms of the T&C.
Muskaan Books may revise the T&C at any time without notice to users.
Privacy
At Muskaan Books, we respect your right to privacy.
The personal information you have shared and exchanged with the Store checkout cart will not be shared, sold, disclosed, revealed to third parties in any form, for any purposes, at any time. All contact information and sales information will remain confidential and will be securely stored by us.
Financial Transactions and Taxes
If you make any financial transactions on the Store, including paying for products or services, you may be asked for credit/debit card or other payment information. You agree that all the information you provide is accurate, complete and current, and that you will pay all charges owed, including any applicable taxes. You agree that you are solely responsible for any personal income reporting and tax payments required of you by applicable government authorities.
Methods of Payment
All electronic payments are routed through Razorpay, our secure payment gateway.
Options include:
- UPI ID
- Pay using Card
- Netbanking
- Wallet
On the Store, orders will be processed only within India. International customers are requested to email us at publications@muskaan.org with address and order details.
Payment
- Advance payment is necessary before confirmation of the order. We do not offer Cash on Delivery for our Store sales currently.
- Payment once confirmed are not refundable, unless the order qualifies for return or cancellation as per the clauses below.
Shipping and Delivery Details
- Muskaan Books will process and dispatch your order within 2-3 working days of the date of receipt of confirmed order and payment.
- Shipping/ delivery of books is usually done through India Post (registered post) or the best mode of shipping based on the shipping address.
- Orders within India can take up to 8-12 working days to reach.
Cancellation
Cancellation can only be effected if the order has not been dispatched. To cancel, please send an email quoting the order number, with the subject ‘Cancellation’, to publications@muskaan.org.
Replacement and Refunds:
- In case of manufacturing damage, defective products or delivery of incorrect products, we will accept returns and get back to you as soon as possible with a refund or dispatch new copies of the same title(s). The request for replacement of such books must reach us within 48 hours of delivery, along with a photo of the defective or damaged product and the ISBN number. If accepted, either another copy of the book will be sent to you or the amount refunded. Refund will be done online in 5 to 6 working days.
- If the original book is recalled, Muskaan Books will bear the cost of recall. Such complaints will be entertained only if they are lodged within 48 hours of the delivery and found valid. Refund/replacement will be initiated as soon as we receive the product from you.
- A return can be initiated for an entire order and also if you have ordered multiple items, you can initiate a return for a partial quantity.
- There are certain scenarios where it is difficult for us to support returns
- Return request is made outside the specified time frame.
- Product is damaged because of use, or Product is not in the same condition as you received it
- While every effort is made to ensure accuracy of prices and the availability of the titles featured on the Store, this cannot be guaranteed and the information may change without notice. In case of price discrepancies, we reserve the right to honour or cancel the transaction. If cancelled, customers will receive a refund.
- If the unlikely event that the book(s) ordered is/are not in stock, the payment made will be refunded, or a gift voucher (100% of the value of the ordered book) will be issued.
- All sales are final. We will refund the money within 14 days in case we are unable to process your order due to unforeseen circumstances.
Use of Muskaan Books’ content
All information displayed, transmitted or carried by the Store (“Content”) is owned by Muskaan and protected by Creative Commons licenses and other intellectual property laws. You may not modify, publish, transmit, transfer, sell, reproduce, create derivative work from, distribute, repost, perform, display or in any way commercially exploit any of the Content. You agree to abide by all copyright notices and restrictions attached to any Content accessed through the Website and not to alter the content in any way.

Though there are sufficient safeguards maintained on online sales, any technical error that is beyond the control of service provider shall not become a ground for any legal dispute or claim.
